An history graduate remembers me some ancient word by Dante Alighieri
Ahi serva Italia, di dolore ostello,
nave sanza nocchiere in gran tempesta,
non donna di province, ma bordello!
(Dante Alighieri, Divina commedia, Purgatorio VI, 75-78)
Obliviously, Dante was able to see the future.
The Italian future, at least.
He saw the actual political system; more closely he saw an eminent professor says “tesoretto was vanished”. Or he tought to someone that will say “we’ll have to revision the history books because these give too much importance at the resistence in the II world war”.
Dante was an illuminated intellectual, it’s on record.
And so, I ask to myself if he knew that will happen even that:
In the end I ask to myself what Dante tought about it too.
Cheers.
